How we got this data

These prices are taken from actual project receipts. All figures are in Brunei Dollars (BND) and show the final price including materials, making the cabinets, and installing them. We've included countertops where listed. These figures don't include extra work like plumbing, tiling, or tearing out your old kitchen. The prices show the most common range—unusually low-cost or expensive projects are not included.

Biggest Cost Factors

Based on our project data, the factors that most significantly affect final cost, in order of impact:

  1. Layout complexity — An island adds BND 4,000–8,000 to a kitchen project. U-shape costs 30–50% more than single-wall for the same specification tier.
  2. Countertop material — Quartz adds BND 2,000–5,000 over formica for a standard L-shaped kitchen. This is often the single largest variable.
  3. Hardware tier — Full Blum (TANDEM runners + CLIP top hinges + AVENTOS lift systems) adds BND 1,500–3,000 over economy hardware for a typical kitchen.
  4. Door finish — PET/PETG high-gloss adds BND 1,000–2,500 over Formica. Lacquer typically adds BND 2,000–4,000.
  5. Interior accessories — Higold pull-outs, organisers, and storage systems add BND 500–2,000 depending on count and complexity.
