Engineered for Brunei's Climate

The Caramella Build Standard

We document every material and process we use. Premium is strictly defined by structural longevity and dimensional stability in Brunei's climate.

What "Premium" Means Here

Premium is not a marketing term; it is an engineering requirement. It demands materials explicitly specified to withstand Brunei's continuous humidity index.

Every specification in this document is selected to resist humidity, last longer, and perform better in tropical conditions.

We publish our build standard openly because we stand behind it. Download this document, bring it to showroom visits, and compare properly.

Core Specifications

Board Materials

Carcass (Standard): 18mm Solid Plywood (High-Pressure HPL Surfaced)

Verification: Layered veneer core for superior screw-holding (See: Humidity Physics Report)

Door Finishes: Formica, Thermal-Cured Lacquer, PET, or PETG

Edge Sealing

Method: EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) hot-melt adhesive at 180°C-190°C

Why: Waterproof bond, resists steam/heat/chemicals, doesn't peel like PVC tape

Application: All exposed edges on doors, drawers, panels, shelves

Drawer Slides

Kitchens: Blum TANDEM concealed or HIGOLD Diamond series (up to 70kg rating)

Wardrobes: Heavy-duty DTC 3-joint or HIGOLD Shearer series (aerospace aluminum)

Warranty: 1-Year Universal Hardware Warranty

Hinges

Type: European-style concealed hinges (Blum CLIP top or HIGOLD premium)

Finish: Nickel-plated or stainless steel (SS304 standard for wet areas)

Features: Soft-close damping, 3D adjustment, 50,000+ lifecycle certified

Drawer Boxes

Material: 18mm HPL-surfaced Solid Plywood (Full Seal)

Joinery: Pocket-bolt or screw joints for rigid construction

Sealing: EVA edge sealing on all exposed edges

Full HPL (High-Pressure Laminate)

What it is: HPL is a durable, moisture-resistant surface bonded to the board.

Why it matters: Provides superior protection against humidity, scratches, and impacts compared to melamine or paper-faced boards.

Application: Used for carcasses, drawer boxes, and sometimes door finishes for maximum durability.

Base Cabinets

Legs: Adjustable plastic legs (100mm minimum height)

Kickboards: PVC or aluminum (not MDF wrapped in vinyl)

Protection: Drip edges on countertops, floor protection measures

Regulatory Adherence

Permits: Our installation process is strictly governed by ABCi & BusinessBN guidelines for residential structural integrity.

Safety: Low-VOC, ENF-grade materials for indoor air quality.

Our local Brunei workshop leverages CNC precision cutting and high-temperature EVA edge sealing to ensure every cabinet meets our tropical durability standard.

How We Build It

1. Site Measurement

We visit your home to take precise measurements, noting wall straightness, floor levels, and electrical points.

Output: Accurate 3D designs of your space.

2. Design Approval

We finalize the layout, discuss materials and finishes, and ensure everything matches your functional requirements.

Output: A clear, final quote and timeline.

3. Precision Fabrication

Your cabinets are cut with high accuracy using advanced machinery, ensuring a precise fit.

Output: Precisely sized components ready for sealing.

4. Heat-Sealed Edges

Every exposed edge is securely sealed at 180°C - 190°C, locking out moisture and preventing peeling.

Output: Durable, waterproof cabinet panels.

5. Quality Check

We carefully inspect each piece and install the hardware before it ever leaves our workshop.

Output: Completed cabinetry ready for your home.

6. Final Installation

Our in-house team installs your kitchen, leveling everything and leaving the space clean.

Output: Your completed project, guaranteed for a full year.

Climate & Moisture Protection

Wet Kitchens

  • EVA edge sealing (critical for water exposure)
  • Raised base cabinets (100mm legs)
  • rusting-resistant hardware
  • Ventilation planning (exhaust fan/hood recommendations)
Read wet kitchen guide

Dry Areas (Wardrobes, Dry Kitchens)

  • Standard moisture protection (EVA edge sealing)
  • Regular hardware (DTC or Blum depending on tier)
  • Climate-appropriate finishes
Read wardrobe guide

High-Moisture Exposure Areas

  • Moisture-resistant plywood or aluminum carcass
  • Stainless steel or high-rusting resistant hardware
